District Training Centre (I.T)

1. About

This District Training Centre(IT) have been set up at Police Reserve Shillong among other 8(eight) such DTCs at different Districts H.Q. , PTS., Shillong and SCRB PHQ., as a part of the strengthening of training infrastructure under the Capacity Building Guidelines of CCTNS Project.

The training infrastructures is reinforced with a Server, Client P.Cs., LCD Monitors, UPS, LCD Projector, Multi-function Printer and Computer tables and chairs

It was inaugurated on 17/08/2011, Shri D.N. Jyrwa, S.P., SCRB, Meghalaya Shillong graced the occasion as Chief Guest, in the presence of Shri A.R. Mawthoh,IPS., Superintendent of Police East Khasi Hills, Shillong. [Photographs available in the Photo gallery of the site]

The resource persons are drawn from the available police personnel posted at DCRB, SP’s Office Shillong.

2. Courses and Training Programmes

The Training Programmes covers the general/basic computer awareness programmes, CCTNS-specific Training on the use of Core Applications Software(CAS), in addition crash courses and workshops is also held at the centre.

3. Achievements

Uptill now i.e. 31st July 2014 the Training Centre has imparted training to 719 personnel of the District and the Districts in the Eastern Range of Meghalaya including the MPRO Personnel.
